Expert New Tire Installation, Tire Repair & Alignments in Framingham

Your vehicle’s tires make constant contact with the road. Over time and with normal wear and tear, they will inevitably become worn down, requiring tire replacement. If you run over a sharp object, you may also need a tire replacement or a tire repair. These are facts of life and, specifically, car ownership. Luckily, if you live in the Framingham area, Bonded Transmission & Auto Repair offers new tire installation, tire repair, tire rotation, and wheel alignments, all at competitive pricing, so you can be confident you’re getting the most—in value, performance, and lifespan—from your tire investment.

How You Know If You Need New Tires

By regularly checking your tires for signs of wear and damage, you can avoid a flat tire, tire leak, or dangerous tire blowout. Here’s what to look for:

  • Tire tread depth – If your tire tread depth is below 1/16 of an inch, you need new tires. To get a rough idea of your tread depth, use a penny and insert it head-down into the tread. If you can see Lincoln’s entire head, your tread depth is likely below 1/16 of an inch.
  • Tread wear indicator bars – Tread wear bars are flat rubber bars running perpendicular to the tire tread. If you see them, it’s time for new tires.
  • Tire sidewall – If your tire’s sidewall is showing visible cracks or cuts, take this seriously—your tires may soon start to leak.
  • Bulges or blisters – Weak spots on tires show up around bulges or blisters, which can lead to a tire blowout.
